We’re delighted to announce our keynote speaker for CCP4 Northern 2026: Prof. Laura Spagnolo, from the University of Glasgow. Her confirmation marks an exciting milestone as we finalise the programme for this year’s meeting.
Prof. Spagnolo’s research focuses on structural biology and cryo-electron microscopy, and her keynote will be a highlight of the programme. You can read more about her work on her University of Glasgow staff profile.
CCP4 Northern meeting 2026 will take place in Newcastle from Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th November, bringing together around 100 delegates from universities across the North of England, Scotland, and beyond. The meeting is a key annual gathering for the structural biology community, particularly early career researchers, PhD students, and postdocs, offering a chance to present research, exchange ideas, and build connections across the field.
Alongside the keynote, CCP4 Northern meeting 2026 will feature selected talks and poster sessions from delegates, sponsor presentations, and prizes for the best talks and posters. The meeting is free to attend, with travel bursaries available for students presenting their work.
Registration details and the full programme for CCP4 Northern meeting 2026 will be shared here and on the conference website in the coming months.
