We are excited to invite you to our official launch of the 100 kV Tundra cryo-TEM in Newcastle University (press release), which will take place on on Wednesday 5th November 2025 and is jointly organised with Thermo Fisher Scientific and CCP-EM.

This powerful addition to our Newcastle Structural Biology Facility was enabled by a BBSRC-Alert award, and funding from Newcastle, Northumbria and Durham Universities.

This 100 kV cryo-TEM, is aimed to be our feeder microscope serving the growing cryo-EM communities in the North East of England.
